Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel.  Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind).  So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me?  Pantser?  I think?  But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid.  And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly.  And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling :aww:
I've got two news for you guys today though: one bad news and one good news. Let's start with the bad news.
I haven't finished writing SPIKE yet.
And I honestly don't know when it will be finished - which oddly enough brings us to the good news:
I've made a new, major decision in the SPIKE story that I think a lot of you will be happy to hear. As usual I don't want to spoil too much, but there is a part in the story where Spike and Sam are separated from each other for quite a long while. At first I was planning on only writing from Spike's point of view, like, what he's experiencing during this separation period. I figured that since he's the main cha

Hello,

Won Park here, There has been an email going around the internet and it says that I live in a Garbage Truck that has been converted in to an RV.

I find it very funny because I live in Honolulu, Hawaii.

I have a one bedroom Apt. I wish I could travel around in a RV and not pay rent. That would be fun.

I just got this email today. I remember seeing your origami on Deviant Art before and was angered that someone would make up such rubbish. I set the record straight though, letting them know it was not real.

Might I suggest you contact Snopes.com and set the record straight.This urban legend could haunt you the rest of your life. It is the first place i checked to see if this woas true but there is no mention of anything to the contrary. It may not clear it up but it would give you a foot in the door.

I don't believe the UNICAT company produced this email. People with too much time on their hands put this type of nonsense out there constantly. If UNICAT had wanted to advertise they would have put their name on the photos or in the email. They certainly would not have referred to their $600k+ vehicle as a converted garbage truck!

Well, I got the email that included photos of the garbage truck to, and decided to do some investigating and wound up here. Good thing I did before i passed it on to someone else. I will only pass on the origami photos. We all might as well start folding our money, we can't afford to spend it or saeve it.

It's incredible but thanks to this spam i've the opportunitie to know your marvelous work... i'm an origami entusiathic (just a begginer). Are this origami's designs yours? In the koi fish, it's incredible how you manage to put the exactly portion of the bill that look like an eye in the fish eye's position... How do you plan this in advance?
