I am currently folding the koi fish for my husband's BD using instructions and YouTube videos.  He is a koi fanatic.  Just in case that I will miserably fail, do you have them for me to purchase?

One of the things I love about deviantart is moments like this: "I'm sure I've seen this in an origami book somewhere... oh wait this is the author!"

Love your work, power to you.

I've been trying really hard to make one of these, but I can never seem to get the head quite right T^T
I've even watched the video of you folding it, but my koi always end up with mutant heads, haha.
Ignoring that though, these are amazing!

Is there a video showing how to fold the scales? The written instructions and diagrams are very confusing and difficult to follow. Also, are there instructions on how to fold a dollar pig and owl. Thks!

I would like to learn to fold the koi but the video does not show how is make the folds for the scales. Is there a video that takes you through the steps one at a time? Would also like instructions on the dollar pig and owl if it is available. Thanks

That's still one of my favourite origami designs ever. And it's really cool what they did with your models on their website.

Wow, I really like how they incorporated your origami into the site design :D What currencies are the other two fish? How did folding them compare to folding US currency?

I believe they were Canadian and Swiss currencies. I still prefer folding the U.S. dollar, only because I am partial to the design of the bill.
